The aim was for my letter to be impactful for my daughter, as she stepped into a new phase of her life - and people don't just grow overnight - so I wanted to have something for her as she grows as a person. Hopefully, she will refer back to her version and think - I think my dad said something about that once. - and so hopefully a father's letter to his daughter will echo for any parent and their child at different stages. Not everyone is the same, but we all have journeys and it this in one small way can help others, that's my job done.
