Friends,
This week I was judging a student contest to write an article or piece of art envisioning the future. The entries were interesting and inspiring. The difference between this and other competitions was that we encouraged the use of AI - ChatGPT, Mid-journey Bard - anything they wanted to, as long as it was referenced.
Surprisingly, there was a big reluctance to use the AI to support their creative process - and for me that was a signal that students (under 18 and maybe those older) are not quite ready to embrace AI in its current form. Indeed perhaps their teachers don’t want to. This avalanche of technology has descended upon us - and the most digital savvy of us humans are not quite ready. That will no doubt change - and the people we here about using AI are among the 1%.
So, for AI we are not too late. We must set our path, devise our mindset and go forth (with a plan) Over the coming weeks, I’m trying to devise my tech driven workflow - to reboot how I work, how I think - and then step up effectively.
My point about technology adoption is that it’s never too late. The point about life is that it’s never too late.
Stay Curious - and don’t forget to be amazing,
Here are my recommendations for this week:
